Good selection of yogurts. They have a variety and some standard flavors. Staff members are friendly. The place is clean. Downside is that there aren't many places to sit and it can get very busy an very fast. Parking can be a pain, too. As far as the yogurt is concerned, the prices are a little higher than I like. Overall, good yogurt and selection.

I love Yogurtology! I visited this location shortly after they opened and I have been visiting every month or two since then. They have a decent selection of yogurts that range from sweet to fruity. They have an awesome topping selection (health, peanuts, reeses, strawberries, kiwi, cherries and flavored boba are among my favorite picks) and they even have some goodies for the bottom of your bowl (they had swiss rolls when we were there last time....genius!). I do have a few complaints about Yogurtology. They don't leave out sample cups. They used to come out and offer you samples, but they don't do that anymore. How do you know if you are going to like a flavor without sampling it? I normally put a little in my cup to sample it, but that stinks when you don't like a flavor (I recently had that happen with the WAY too sweet Pecan). My second issue with Yogurtology is the price. They are SO expensive. They only give you HUGE cups. It makes you want to fill the cup up more than you would a regular size cup. Add in the candy, bottom cake/cookies/swiss rolls and it adds up a lot. We paid $15 for two yogurts on our last visit. Yogurtology will always have a soft spot in my heart. However, due to the lack of samples and the price, I now prefer a different yogurt shop up on 4th street. They still get four stars because their yogurt is so darn yummy.

Unfriendly staff and disorganized. The way that they control the samples leaves it crowded and uninviting in an already cramped space. Messy around the toppings. Have wanted to stop by for a while. Will not return.

Good yogurt, fresh toppings, but it might be time to get a manager or some more mature employees. Arrived to see a fully uniformed, young employee with braces in the parking lot, kissing a young man. Walked inside to find no one behind the counter. Waited a minute or two for sample cups because no one had come out. On the clock, the employee should be doing his or her job, and where are the managers? Not impressed.

  • Ken K.

Great frozen treats! Great toppings. We have been several times, and nearly each time the selections are just great! (one time, somehow, the manager that picks the flavors available completely "whiffed") Compared to another similar place on Beach Drive, is is less per ounce....and the difference is worth the drive - we usually spend about 10 bucks for 2, and the same size yogurt at a Beach Drive competitor runs about 15.

  • Moki C.

I fancy myself a frozen treat connoisseur...and this Yogurtology is as good as it gets. They have the best flavors of yogurt and mix-ins I have ever seen. None of this boring "mint, chocolate, french vanilla, mango"...they had salted caramel, coconut donut, etc. Their toppings were great compliments...ding dongs, swiss cakes...and get this Nutella. Go here. Plan on spending about $6-$7 each.

my boyfriend and I walked in the other day since YOGURTLAND (best place ever) closed down unexpectedly. Well it was both of our first times, and we are both used to how yogurtland works. So we walk in and ask the young guy behind the counter for sample cups. He said I "I have them back here, we get them for you." I said oh ok, we're used to yogurtland, and we asked to try some samples. There was a young girl waiting at the counter when we walked in who was there the entire time, assuming his gf or friend. Once we got our yogurt, went to pay, I asked about a loyalty card, and the guy said we're out. Just snotty and rude every time he spoke to us. So I said ok, well can I save my receipt and use my purchase for next time? He looked at me like I had 8 heads and said "no I don't think so." I said ok, that's weird, I'll just call your manager tomorrow and ask, because that doesn't make sense. He said do whatever you want. My bf at this time, who is 4 times bigger than this kid, literally almost strangled this punk kid. Our first time there and I am NEVER going back. I have my receipt and I am calling the manager to report the assholeness of that kid.

Great little frozen yogurt place. Very clean and slightly futuristic. Even with what I consider to be a lot of frozen yogurt and a generous portion of toppings, my total was barely $3! I have been here once before and plan of coming back when I get a sweet craving again.

As a tourist to the St. Petersburg area I was pleased to stumble upon Yogurtology on my way to the airport. Across the United States, do-it-yourself frozen yogurt stands are popping up like wild fire. Most of these places offer a multitude of flavors and divergent toppings as guests create unique individualized yogurt creations. The formula has been copied to death and as a result you often see the same thing over and over. At Yogurtology, guests are greeted with a very clean and organized setting. They have a wide array of flavor options including a couple that I hadn't seen before like cinnamon. The topping selection is also larger than any fro-yo stand I have been before with some outright zany topping offerings like full twix, kit-kats, and cookies. Overall they must have over 30 divergent toppings including fresh fruit and candy. Personally, my experience was great. The service was spot on, the fro-yo was tasty, and the toppings were fresh. Although it is a little expensive, it was a real treat on a hot summer day.

Frozen yogurt that you pour and put your own toppings on is a great idea, but there are better options out there. Yogurtology was the first of it's kind in NE St. Pete. We enjoyed going there because the yogurt was good and we had fun adding our own toppings. They get bonus points for having peanut butter yogurt too! But once a few other yogurt places cropped up, I found that there are better options. There are several issues. The staff seems really bored or too cool for you? They have no energy and aren't friendly. The cookies/brownies/donuts where you pick up your cup are very stale and salty. They look delicious, so I've tried several times. But it's always the same result. Stale and too salty. My kids are on the younger side and this location isn't too family friendly. There's not much seating and they always have video's pumping on the big screen. Sounds like a jam, huh? It is until you notice your kids locked in a stare at the TV while Lady Gaga is pole dancing. If you're an adolescent, this is good hangout place. Sometimes they have turn tables out front and a bunch of awkward teens standing around. If you're an adult, even without kids, you're better off trying one of the other yogurt places that are close by.

HOLY COW! Now I see what everyone has been talking about. My belly and butt wish we hadn't tried it as I can't wait to go back. I got there at a good time - 12:30 on a Saturday and there weren't many folks there. The place was SUPER clean...spotless! The attendant was helpful and informative AND my dessert was DELISH!!!

  • Alex O.

Always enjoy visiting, staff is friendly and the yogurt is very good. Great selection of toppings, but they should select a wider variety of yogurts, that's my only beef! No chocolate flavor, but they did have fudge flavor or something like that which was good.

  • Louis A.

Pros: -Great yogurt with new flavors all the time. Gingerbread is fantastic. -Fresh and flavorble toppings -Always very clean inside and outside eating area Cons: -One whole star deduction because of parking. Parking is a nightmare with tiny spaces. I hope you have a Mini or like door dings! -Cashier is usually a robotic drone with no personality. -The cookies you get at the start are usually rock hard and impossible to break with the plastic spoon they give you. Why not have soft chocolate chip cookies?

For a chain, this place still has some heart. First, an employee saw my group approaching and actually OPENED THE DOOR FOR US! (We weren't holding any crying babies and it wasn't raining either) True-- the pour-your-own froyo flavors are at an angle that needed an employee to keep an eye on customers-- and it was by the door... but still... that was a nice gesture. The style and look contains many typical froyo store staples as well as unique touches. There's entire cookies and brownies to place at the bottom of your cup-- hmm, that's new. There's over 10 froyo flavors... and flan? This had a butterscotch taste and is now my new favorite froyo base. There's your typical variety of toppings: the fruit tasted fresh and there was enough crunchy things to mix as well as the little water-balloon-like boba pearls (I haven't seen those in toppings in the Bay 'til now). But the price was 49 cents an ounce? Ouch! A little higher than preferred. The young staff was very smiley and helpful, but also acted very clueless at moments: there was a rewards card to fill out next to the cashier. After I filled it and handed it to her, she had no idea where I had gotten it, then didn't know what to do with it. I'll probably have to suck up the high price, strange employees and awkward location (I like walking around with my froyo... this store is near nothing worth walking off calories) because it has no competitors to give me my froyo fix.

Love Love Love Yogurtology. All the different flavors and toppings, the spotlessly clean space and the blasting AC (sometimes even a little too chilly). This is the best yogurt place in town for sure. And a great place to people watch in the evenings!

  • Erin S.

Yogurtology is very good. Not my most favorite yogurt shop in town, but their oatmeal cookie yogurt stands up. They are a little more pricey and even a bit pretentious. I love that they sell yogurt just for dogs. My "baby" at home loves it! Overall, they are very clean, organized and have decent selection. Their toppings are also fresh and they keep the counter spotless. Not bad.

A little pricy but tastes more like soft serve ice cream. Yum. great dessert style toppings.

Great flavors, friendly employees - cool place to go after dinner. But like someone else, I deducted a star for the horrible social science experiment of a parking lot this place has. I don't have a big car by any means, and I still can't seem to fit it into one of their spots on the first try. I can't possibly imagine their parking lot is up to code.

  • Indy C.

OMG SOOOOO GOOOOD. I thought I only logged onto yelp to complain, but after having their chocolate with Butterfinger crushed on top and peanut butter chips I felt compelled to write a kudos. Nothing bad to say about this place. Epic.

  • Larry C.

So many great selections on hand from their choices of different frozen yogurt flavors to their toppings! Some interesting froyo selections in store with unique flavors i havent seen before to choose from such as captain crunch, strawberry milkshake, mint chocolate chip & butterfinger. I liked that they had different flavored bobbas (strawberry, mango, orange, pomegranate) which is always fun to load your froyo with. Also love their mochi and loading it with cereals such as captain crunch and frutty pebbles to give the froyo a nice crunch after every bite. If your craving for froyo this place is def a great option as the facilities are very clean and have a modern fresh feel to the location. Plus its a nice location to cool down and sit in the ac after a hot day!

  • Randolph Z.

Rarely does a FroYo make me say "holy fucking shit," but seriously, holy fucking shit. There are some really interesting flavors and an incredible variety of toppings. I have never even seen half as many toppings at one of these places. And I'm a recent transplant from California, so I can speak with authority on this and any number of other issues. See my opinions on politics and religion. Also. The machines and toppings are out of sight of the register, so you can be all sneaky and "sample" like 35 cents worth of stuff before paying. After 500 visits that's $175!! Car payment! Downside is that it's more expensive than I'm used to. Definitely a small indulgence.

  • Lex A.

Three stars because I do like yogurtology, but they seem to have stopped carrying the coconut, which is why I come here. I know that the flavored get switched around by season and availability. The parking lot here is TERRIBLE. The spaces are way too small, and I have seen so many dings, fender benders and accidents in this parking lot. The staff is very unfriendly. VERY! They don't say anything, They don't offer help. Just stand there like some teenaged bouncers. Also they just cover their gross fruit with more "fresh" fruit, but don't address the smashed soggy fruit at the bottom. Yes I have pointed this out to employees and they do nothing. I know that there are teens who work here and they don't really care The toppings are great, so many choices, and they are always cleaned out. I just wish the frozen yogurt had the same Consistency. Some are more frozen than others. And PLEASE employees - just put a smile on your face

Whenever I am in the mood to drop $10 on a cup of yogurt, this is my place. My favorite thing to do is sit inside and count all of the customers that are eating even more yogurt than myself. They are skinny and mostly wearing Under Armour's skin tight apparel, as well as other gym clothing. I guess that people think Yogurtology is healthy? Interesting...

Froyo late night on a Saturday night = awesome! The tart and chocolate flavors were really tasty and they had great topping options. The customer service was great and we liked that they had outdoor seating. I would go back.

Yum! This place is awesome. Top of the line of the trendy create your own yogurt shops. I have never seen a yogurt place with full size baklava, cookies, snack cakes, and candy bars. They also have interesting flavors like Cinnamon Toast Crunch, German Chocolate Cake (yum!), Golden Cupcake Batter, and Acai Sangria Tart. One of the most interesting toppings I saw looked like Dip n Dots ice cream and tasted like cookies and cream. Plus, they had very fresh strawberries, kiwi, and blueberries which I appreciated. Parking lot is sort of small and the shopping center is tucked away on a corner kind of hidden behind trees.

  • Michael O.

This is a great dessert location. I really enjoy the rotating flavors. I will admit that some flavors I am not a huge fan of, but out of the many many froyo locations, to me there really isn't a better one they all are about the same. I do always find this location is clean and the staff friendly. The parking situation here is my only gripe. The spaces are way too small and the lot too narrow, it at times is a true nightmare to park here.

  • Haviland K.

Of all the yogurt places in the Tampa Bay Area, this one has the best seasonal flavored. The Captain Crunch flavor really tastes like captain crunch. They have tons of toppings and many more sauces than other places. The seasonal favors rotate, but not too quickly. Summer has been orange cream and piña colada so far. I love that they also rotate the boba flavors so that you can get something different every time. Parking can be a challenge, but here is a lot on the other side of the plaza that can be used after the other plaza stores close. Always so yummy! :D

Frozen yogurt places are a dime a dozen these days. I think there are so many that sometimes it's hard to remember which ones are good and which ones are just ok. We have a lot of experience hopping from place to place because we have two boys who absolutely love frozen yogurt (and they're not that discerning). All of this being said, we have come to the unanimous conclusion that Yogurtology is - by FAR - the BEST frozen yogurt around. It's rich, creamy and delicious. It's better than soft serve ice cream, in my opinion. Is also spotless. Super clean. They help you if you want to taste a flavor (just life they do at ice cream places) which keeps any potential messes in check. Plus, they're diligent about keeping the toppings area clean and filled. A+!!!!

This is "our" yogurt shop and we are in there all the time, as evidenced by the fact that I have gotten multiple $3's off when using my loyalty key tag. First reason for five stars...the loyalty key tag and the multiple $3's off! We live exactly four miles from this Yogurtology and often ride our bikes there. I love that my kids (age 8 & 10) are willing to go on an eight mile bike ride for frozen yogurt. Reason #2 for five stars...motivation to get exercise with my kids! The staff at Yogurtology has always been friendly and helpful, opening the door for us when we arrive, asking if we have been there before or have any questions, offering unlimited free samples. We are pro's, but the first time we went I appreciated the explanation of "Bottomings", or the goodies that they have BEFORE the yogurt to put on the bottom. I do have to say that some of the "Bottomings" are not so great...the cookies and cakes can be hard and not edible with a plastic spoon. I generally just skip the bottomings anyway in favor of more toppings, of which there are PLENTY. I like that they have a rotation of flavors and there is almost always something new to try. Last night they had "Spicy Mango Banana". Awesome, although my favorite is the oatmeal cookie. Last night I also tried the "No Sugar Added" cheesecake flavor and it was great. It didn't have any artificial sweetener flavor or "diety" flavor. Just tasted like cheesecake froyo. The toppings are amazing. So much candy, cereal, and fresh fruit. Another tiny complaint, but not enough to remove a star, is that they replaced the mini Reese's cups with full-size Reese's cut in half. Again, you can't cut that in half with a plastic spoon after it has been frozen hard by the yogurt, so you have to eat the entire half. Please cut them into fourths for us Yogurtology! Reese's are my favorite candy and my favorite topping :) This is going on forever, but I do love my Yogurtology. They also have doggy yogurt for your pooch to enjoy!

Sometimes I get cravings for frozen yogurt. And by sometimes I mean all the time. Thanks Yelp mobile app for pointing me in the direction of yogurtology while I was in downtown St. Pete the other day. There were a lot of options nearby but this seemed like a safe one. It's in a cute little neighborhood next to Fitlife foods and across from the Fresh Market. Healthiness all around! The yogurt was delish. Super satisfying. I got the cupcake-flavored yogurt with oreo and sprinkle toppings and he got the cupcake and strawberry yogurt with...everything. Including these little bubbles of flavor that burst in your mouth like sushi roe. Yuck! (But he liked it, go figure.) The store itself is cute and well-maintained. But I'm knocking off a star because while they keep the inside clean, the outside is a mess. It wouldn't take a lot for someone to come wipe down the tables or make it all presentable once in a while. Just a suggestion. Otherwise, I definitely recommend this place.

This place sucks. My friends and I went to this establishment only because yogurtland down the street is closed, but never ever again. We asked for sample cups to try the yogurt and we had to not only wait for them to come out with the cups but we also could not serve our own SAMPLES!!!! This is ridiculous. The yogurt was runny (I thought yogurt was suppose to be frozen....?) Want to waste your money? Yogurtology is the place to go.

Yum - I love this place because it's self-serve, has lots of interesting and delicious flavors, and enough toppings to satisfy even my indecisive nature. If you can, try going this holiday season to sample the German Chocolate Cake and Pumpkin Spice. They go together surprisingly well... hint, hint.

  • Nat W.

Let me tell you. Everything tasted so so good and we did not know which ones to put in our cup! But we decided on 3 flavors: Salted Caramel, Oatmeal cookie and vanilla yogurt. Salted caramel and oatmeal cookie are mind-blowing flavors. Vanilla yogurt was very light and it was nice refreshing compliment since salted caramel and oatmeal cookie were sweet and richier. We picked mochi, cookie dough and some gummies for the toppings. The whole place was immaculate including the topping counter where there is usually a mess. I saw an employee constantly wiping the tables and counter whenever he had time. I really hope they will maintain this place like the way it is now, because I LOVE YOGURTOLOGY!

  • Katie M.

Love this place! I'm a big fan of adding mix-ins to your yogurt. I've been wanting to try their original with fresh fruit. Every time I go in there I plan to get that, but then I see all the wonderful flavors and end up dumping chocolate chips, coconut, nuts, etc. into my cup. The best part is they change out a few of their flavors regularly so any time you go in there you're bound to be able to try something new. There's only one size cup so be careful when putting the yogurt in! You can easily put in too much and they charge by ounce. Even so it usually ends up being a pretty cheap sweet treat!

    (4)
  • Jenny L.

Checked this place out last night. They have great flavors and awsome toppings. I had the tart, which tends to be hit or miss at most frozen yogurt places, but it was great here. My boyfriend had the strawberry, and he loved it. (He is very picky about his frozen yogurt. DIVA!) The chocolate didn't really do it for me, and I wish they had more fresh fruit toppings. None the less the place gets the job done. Reasonably priced at .35 an ounce. The toppings weren't a complete mess, and the store itself is very clean. You can sample all you want. Staff is super friendly.

Really happy they opened a location in St. Petersburg. When you walk in, you will notice how clean and sterile but cool it is in there. All white with color accents splashed in. A nice outdoor living area with turfgrass outside and a few tables inside. The main attraction is a gorgeous topping bars. There has to be over 100 options. It's overwhelming at first and sometimes you feel rushed to create your perfect balace in a cup when others are waiting. Beautiful fresh fruit, every type of candy and candy bar, cereal, and mini desserts are sprawled out like and very enticing to the eye. That is what makes it dangerous... your yogurt is weighed by the ouce. Keep adding, and the price can get up there quickly. You can create a million different cups with all the options. I love the fact they are always cleaning, straightening and very friendly. The yogurt options are fantastic and they have some incredible flavors with zero far and low calories but huge on flavor. You will be taken out of your comfort zone at first but once you experience it, it can be quite addicting. I took my whole family when they were in St. Pete recently and they all raved about the place as well.
